Privacy Policy

1. Welcome

This Privacy Policy explains how Kiding collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the app. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old or have parental consent where required by applicable law.

2. Information We Collect

• Account Information: email address, password, display name.
• Profile Data: baby name, gender, birthday, avatar, allergies, growth measurements, milestones, medicine and other health-related notes, and other information you choose to provide.
• Content Data: chat and AI conversations, uploaded photos, notes, events, schedules and other content you create.
• Transaction Data: purchase history, subscription status, credit usage and free-credit claim history.
• Push Notification Token: if you enable notifications, a token from your device's notification service (via Expo) so we can deliver the reminders and alerts you turn on.
• Device & Network Info: device type/OS and identifiers (including a device footprint), IP address and approximate location derived from IP — used for security, fraud prevention and to limit free-credit claims to one per device.

3. How We Use Your Data & Legal Basis

• Provide and manage your account and the app's features.
• Store baby profiles, schedules, reminders and content you create.
• Process AI conversations and generate responses.
• Manage subscriptions, credit balance and payments.
• Send notifications you opt into.
• Keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fraud, and improve the app.

Our legal bases are: performing our contract with you; your consent (for optional features, AI processing, health-related information and notifications, which you can withdraw at any time); our legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, improvement); and legal obligations (such as tax and accounting). Health-related information is a special category of data we process only with your explicit consent, given when you choose to enter it.

4. AI Features

To answer your questions, we send our AI provider (Anthropic) a snapshot of relevant baby information (such as profile details, schedule, upcoming events and milestones) together with your message. Your messages are sent to Anthropic only through our secure servers. Messages and AI conversations may be stored to provide the service and improve the product.

5. Payments

We never store full payment card details. In-app purchases are processed by Google Play under their terms; Google handles the payment and the available payment methods. There are no payments on this website.

6. Service Providers & Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:

• Service Providers: cloud database, storage and authentication (Supabase), AI processing (Anthropic), in-app payment processing (Google Play), billing management (RevenueCat), and transactional email delivery (Resend).
• Family Group Members: when you create or join a family group, the baby profiles, activities, schedules, events, growth records, milestones and chat messages you add are visible to other members of that group based on their role (owner or member).
• Legal Requirements: when required by law or to protect rights, safety and security.

7. Analytics & Tracking

We do not use third-party advertising or behavioral analytics services. To keep the service working and prevent abuse, we process technical information such as a device footprint/identifier, basic device and network details, and error information when something goes wrong.

8. Data Retention

We keep your account and profile data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period (typically up to 30 days), except records we are legally required to keep longer — for example, payment and transaction records retained to meet tax and accounting obligations (generally up to 5 years under Polish law). You can delete your account and its associated data at any time from within the app.

9. International Transfers

Some providers — for example Anthropic, Google for in-app payments, and RevenueCat for billing management — may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

10. Your Rights

• Access, correct, export or delete your data.
• Withdraw consent at any time, and object to or restrict certain processing.
• Opt out of AI data storage or promotional messages by contacting us.
• Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority — in Poland, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO, uodo.gov.pl).

11. Children's Privacy

Kiding is intended for parents, guardians and caregivers who are 16 or older (or who have parental consent where required). The app is used to record information about your own child, which you provide as the parent or guardian responsible for that child. We do not allow children to create their own accounts and do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

12. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time and will update the "Last Updated" date above.
